As part of this remarkable journey, we are looking for a Rebuild Shop Welding Technician.

The job

The Welding Technician is responsible for joining, fabrication and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. In addition, the position is responsible for grinding objects with hand and power tools to ensure a smooth flawless surface.

You will report to the Shop Supervisor and be a part of the Operations team in North America.

Essential Job Functions:

Welding:

• Tig welding of hard facing
• Mig welding
• Automation welder set-up
• Clean shop equipment and station areas

Grinding:

• Hand grinding to finished quality
• Machine grinding when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
  
• Must have a strong mechanical ability, experience using basic hand tools
• Strong welding skills
• Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and drawings with parts lists
• Must be able to lift 50-80lbs with ease and often
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be willing to maintain a professional personal appearance when representing the company
• Ability to work individually or with a team in the workshop
• Must have good communication skills
• Driver’s License Required
• Must have basic forklift skills
• Must have basic knowledge of weld machines
• Must be dependable, with a strong attendance history
• Flexibility; may require schedule outside of normal work hours
